SF West swept Yankton Post 12 by scores of 3-0 and 11-1 on Tuesday.  Yankton is now 25-9 on the season and will open play Friday night in the Twin Cities in the Gopher Classic.

Brookings defeated the Yankton Reds in a doubleheader Tuesday by scores of 11-9 and 18-5.  Tonight, the Yankton Lakers Teener squad has a twin bill at Renner.

Lesterville downed Freeman 10-7 last night in South Central League amateur baseball as Alex Wagner was the winning pitcher for the Broncs.

Mount Marty College has signed Watertown grad Connor Fransen for their baseball program.  Fransen is a 6'4" pitcher who was All-State honorable mention this year, and last year was 8-2 with a 2.78 ERA for the Watertown Legion team.  He plans to major in Recreation Management at MMC.

Former Crofton HS coach Gail Peterson will receive a Cross-Country Award at the Nebraska Coaches Assn. annual awards banquet July 20 in Lincoln.  Peterson coached the Warriors boys and girls runners for 38 years, and had 15 state championships.  Current Crofton HS coach Aaron Losing will receive the Girls Basketball Coach of the Year in Nebraska after guiding the Lady Warriors to their third straight championship and six state titles since 2005.
