Weiland in Yankton

Tuesday, October 7, 2014

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Rick Weiland is in Yankton yesterday as he continues his campaign to win the senate seat vacated by retiring US Senator Tim Johnson. Weiland says one issue that is critical for the future of America is the development of a comprehensive energy policy that includes the use of renewable sources such as wind power and ethanol with less of a focus on oil. Weiland says he has been disappointed by the absence of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rounds at several debates that have been held during this campaign. Along with Weiland and Rounds, independent candidates Larry Pressler and Gordon Howie are seeking the open South Dakota US Senate seat in the November 4th general election.
