This weekend the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center will be hosting SOAR Raptors of Dedham, Iowa as Bald Eagle Days gets underway. US. Army Corps of Engineers park ranger Karla Zeutenhorst says the raptors used in the program are birds of prey that are not able to be returned to the wild.
Zeutenhorst says during the program visitors have the opportunity to see and experience a bald eagle up-close in a safe setting.
Bald Eagle Days programs at the Lewis and Clark Visitors Center are set for: Friday at 4 and 6 PM, Saturday and Sunday at: 9 and 11 AM and 1 PM and 3 PM.
Programs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, seating is not guaranteed and reservations are not accepted.
