Mount Marty and Hastings split four G-PAC baseball games over the weekend, each sweeping a doubleheader on their home field.  Dakota Stone and Sam Erickson were the winning pitchers on Saturday for the Lancers, who are in a sixth-place tie in the conference with a 6 and 8 record and 12 and 20 overall.

Mount Marty split a home softball doubleheader Saturday against Hastings, losing the first game 5-3 and winning the nightcap 10-2.  Amber Krause allowed just one hit in pitching the Lancer victory as they are now 9 and 14 on the season.  Mount Marty is 3 and 7 in the G-PAC and tied for eighth place as they head to Omaha for a 3:00 doubleheader today at the College of St. Mary.

Omaha nipped U-S-D 2-1 Sunday in softball action in Vermillion, taking two of three games this weekend over the Coyotes.  U-S-D is now 4 and 5 in the Summit League and 13 and 24 for the season.

The Yankton Gazelles had two first place finishes in the Brandon Valley Track and Field Invite on Saturday.  Senior Emma Stewart won the triple jump and senior Madason Tessier took the 100-meter hurdles.  The Bucks and Gazelles will host Brandon Valley and Mitchell in a triangular tomorrow in Yankton starting at 4 p.m.

The Yankton Bucks won two of four matches this weekend in the Aberdeen boys tennis meet.  The Bucks beat Aberdeen Central 5-4, lost to Aberdeen Roncalli 5-4, topped Madison 7-2 and lost to Rapid City Stevens 9-0.  Michael Frick and Cole Sawatzke each won three matches at singles for Yankton,  who now has a 4 and 4 dual meet record this season.
