The Yankton Bucks defeated Harrisburg 7-2 Thursday in their final home tennis match of the season.  The Bucks got singles victories from Sam Mooney, Michael Frick, Isaac Klimisch, Cole Sawatzke and Gage Becker.  Yankton is 8 and 5 on the dual meet season with matches next week at Vermillion and Madison.

The Yankton Gazelles won a close four-team girls golf meet yesterday at Willow Run in Sioux Falls.  The Gazelles had a 363 score, Harrisburg had a 366, Mitchell shot a 369 and Washington had a 410 total.  Yankton senior Linze Cowman led the Gazelles with an 88 which tied for second place.  Peyton Tramp won the J-V meet with a 95.  The Gazelles have their first home dual meet on Monday against Siox Falls O’Gorman at Hillcrest Country Club.

Sioux Falls Lincoln scored three runs in the eighth inning to edge Yankton 6-3 in high school club baseball last night at Riverside Field.  Jordan Kathol and Justin Groves each had two hits for the Bucks, who are winless in three games heading into a contest tonight at Sioux Falls Roosevelt.

Bon Homme-Scotland nipped Parkston 2-1 in eight innings last night as Chase Kortan doubled and singled for the winners.  The Bon Homme-Scotland team will face Dakota Valley and St. Thomas More on Sunday in Yankton.

Mount Marty is preparing to host Northwestern College in four baseball games over the next two days at Riverside Field.  The Lancers are 9 and 11 and in sixth place in the G-PAC standings, while Northwestern is tenth at 5 and 15 on the season.  Today’s doubleheader starts at 4 p-m at Bob Tereshinski Stadium.

The Mount Marty women’s golf team will compete today at The Ridge for the Siouxland Invitational.

The U-S-D Spring Football Red-White game will be held tonight as the Coyotes take the field in the DakotaDome at 7:00.

There are 297 paid entries for the eighth annual RiverRat Marathon tomorrow in Yankton.  The entry deadline is today, and the various races will all start and finish tomorrow at Riverside Park.
