Living History Day Saturday

Living History Day will be celebrated Saturday in Yankton’s Riverside Park by the Territorial Capitol building.

Park Ranger Dugan Smith from the Missouri National Recreational River says they are pleased to present programs about Yankton’s history.

Smith says two programs Saturday will feature re-enactors telling the stories of fur trading and one-room schoolhouses.

Smith says other presenters will focus on Native Americans and Lewis and Clark, and there will be plenty of activities for the kids during Living History Day from 11 am till 3 pm on Saturday.
