  • Yankton Volleyball concluded their latest stretch of road games with a 3-0 sweep over the tough Class A Tea Area Titans last night (25-23, 25-16, 25-14). The Gazelles, now 12-13 on the year, return home to face Brookings this coming Tuesday in their final home game of the season. First serve 7pm.

  • The Yankton Bucks host Mitchell this Thursday at Crane-Youngworth Field. The Bucks shutout Mitchell on the road earlier this season 45-0. Catch the action live on KYNT and KYNTV with Jacob Wuertz and Bryce Ladwig, pregame 630/Kickoff 7.
  • #1 Avon hosts #8 Alcester-Hudson in the Class B Quarterfinal Round this Thursday, kickoff set for 6pm.
  • #4 Gayville-Volin hosts #5 Dell Rapids St. Mary in the Class B Quarterfinal Round as well, kickoff set for 7pm on Thursday.
  • In Class 11A, #3 Vermillion hosts #6 Tri-Valley Thursday in the DakotaDome for a 7pm kickoff.

  • The (7-2) #9 Hartington Cedar Catholic Trojans prepare to push towards a Class C2 State Football Title, but will have to square up against #8 North-Platte St. Patricks on the road this Friday.   • Lancers Volleyball was in action last night, hosting non-conference opponent Dakota State at Cimpl Arena. The Lancers fell in three sets 16-25, 14-25, 12-25. The Lancers play again on October 29th, where they will be traveling to Mitchell, to take on #15 Dakota Wesleyan University.
  • Mount Marty Women’s Basketball also competed against Dakota State last night in non-conference play on the road, falling to the Trojans 96-38 in their season opener. The Lancers, now 0-1, prepare for the NAIA Classic at the Sanford Pentagon next Saturday and Sunday where they will face Presentation College and Valley City State University.   • Both men’s and women’s soccer programs travel to Aberdeen today for a double header matchup with Presentation College. Only two games remain on the regular season schedule for these teams, both of them on the road. The Lancers women enter the last week of the season with a 1-13 overall record, while the Lancer men hold a 5-7-1 record.
  • The (0-8) Lancer football team will get one last crack at securing its first program victory within the friendly confines of Crane-Youngworth Field this Saturday, as Hastings College comes to town for the GPAC clash.
