Yankton lost a pair of close matches in high school wrestling last night in Brookings.  The host Bobcats edged the Bucks 36-31 and Sioux Falls Roosevelt got past Yankton 40-35.  The Bucks got two match victories each from Trevor Ellis, Donovan Bain, Carlos Ruffo and Giovanni Ruffo.

The Yankton High School basketball teams take on powerful squads from Sioux Falls Lincoln tonight.  The Bucks are 4 and 3 as they visit the top-ranked 7 and 1 Patriots.  The Gazelles are 3 and 2 on the season and will host the fifth-ranked Lincoln girls team which is 6 and 2 overall.  Our broadcast of Bucks basketball at Lincoln will be on the Current 94.3 FM, starting around 6:45 p.m.

The Mount Marty College basketball teams have a non-conference doubleheader on the road tonight at Dakota State University.  The teams split a pair of close games the first weekend in November during the N-A-I-A Showcase in Sioux Falls.  Our broadcast starts at 5:05 p-m from Madison on AM 1450, KYNT.

South Dakota State junior guard Madison Guebert was named the College Insider Mid-Major Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.  Guebert averaged 22 points and 5 assists per game in a pair of Jacks victories last week.

S-D-S-U junior forward Mike Daum was named the Summit League Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time this season.  Daum averaged 32 points and 13 rebounds in two wins for the Jackrabbits last week.

U-S-D sophomore guard Ciara Duffy from Rapid City has been selected the Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.  Duffy averaged nearly 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game in two Coyote wins last week.

The final f-C-S Coaches Poll was released Monday after North Dakota State won the national title Saturday by edging James Madison 17-13.  South Dakota State finished in fourth place nationally after reaching the F-C-S semifinals, while the University of South Dakota ended up 16th in the Coaches Poll and 15th in the STATS poll after an 8 and 5 season and making the second round of the playoffs.
