Liberty Mobility Suspends Services

After being in operation since July of last year the future for the Liberty Mobility transportation service is uncertain due to a lawsuit filed against Liberty in another state.

According to the Athens Georgia Messenger, TechGROWTH Ohio Fund filed a lawsuit Dec. 28th  in Athens County Common Pleas Court against Liberty Mobility Now of Athens, claiming Liberty fraudulently misrepresented facts when it entered into a contract with TechGROWTH.

Area Manager Kate Schramm says at this time she has more questions than answers but Schramm confirms that the Liberty app and call center are not working and that ride services have been suspended in the Yankton area.

Although there are a number of possibilities for resuming services, Schramm says it is not now clear what the future of Liberty Mobility in the Yankton community will be.
