The process of revising the county’s zoning ordinance took another step forward Friday at a special meeting of the Yankton County Commission.
Commission Chair Cheri Loest says the commission heard from a number of area residents regarding their concerns with the current zoning ordinance and potential changes they would like to see.
Loest says in reviewing zoning ordinances from area counties, Yankton County’s regulations are often similar to what other counties are doing.
Loest says current plans are to wrap up the zoning ordinance revision process by late May or early June.
Loest says a third special Yankton County Commission meeting on Article 5 of the county’s zoning ordinance is set for February 17th at 6 PM at the Yankton County Government Center.
