Citizens leaving their cars, garages or residences unlocked face a risk of criminal activity against their property.
Yankton Police Detective Joe Erickson says there have been a number of vehicles broken into or stolen recently in our area.
Detective Erickson says it can be tough for law enforcement to track down this type of activity.
