An upgraded criminal charge has been brought against the former treasurer of the Yankton VFW Post 791.
37-year-old Colin Reisner has been charged with Aggravated Grand Theft for allegedly embezzling 100-thousand to 500-thousand dollars from the VFW Post. The charge carries a maximum punishment of 15 years in state prison and a $30,000 fine. Reisner’s next court appearance will be June 3rd in First Circuit Court in Yankton.
The Yankton VFW at 209 Cedar will hold a meal and gathering Friday evening open to the public and will accept free-will donations to help continue operations.
