After some lengthy discussion, the Yankton City Commission on a six to two vote Monday night approved a fee increase for the Huether Family Aquatic Center in 2022.
Yankton Parks and Rec Director Todd Larson initially came before the commissioners requesting a two percent to the nearest dollar increase each year for the next three years to offset ongoing operation expenses at the facility.

Schramm, along with Tony Maibaum, were the commissioners who voted against the price increase. The Commissioners agreed to implement the increase January first, giving families time now to purchase passes for 2022 with the lower fee.
