This month, Meals on Wheels is celebrating a milestone. March marks the 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act Nutrition Program. That is the federal legislation that provides funding for nutrition services for older adults and helps support programs such as Meals on Wheels.
The local Yankton Meals on Wheels program is organized by The Center. Center Executive Director Kriss Thurry says in order to raise money for the program, they are hosting their annual Rock-A-Thon on Thursday…
