- The 9th seeded Yankton Bucks entered the opening game of the Class AA Boys Basketball State Tournament as heavy underdogs vs the 1st seeded SF Roosevelt, but gave a tremendous effort despite a 57-49 loss. Bucks Head coach Chris Haynes noted that one underwhelming quarter of play became too much for the Bucks to come back from.

The Bucks were led in scoring by Junior Mac Ryken who netted 14 points in the effort. The Bucks now prepare to face off against ESD Champion Mitchell in the consolation championship semi-final today at noon. Catch the action live on KYNT and KYNTV with Bryce Ladwig, pregame 1130am, tipoff at 12pm.

- The 13th seeded Jackrabbits entered the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Tournament with the division’s largest win streak, but were up-ended by the 4th seeded Providence Friars 66-57. Jackrabbit Head Coach Eric Henderson talked to the media after the matchup.

- The Coyote Women earned a #10 seed and will play seventh-seeded Ole Miss today in Waco, Texas, in the first round of the Women’s NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament. Gametime is set for 1230pm and can be viewed on ESPN2. This marks South Dakota’s fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Dawn Plitzuweit and fifth-overall in NCAA Division I.
- The 34th Annual 3-Class Shootout basketball All-Star game will be held on Saturday, March 26th at the McCook Central Auditorium in Salem. All three classes in both boys and girls will be represented by many of the top seniors in South Dakota. As soon as the rosters are finalized they will be released. The games are as follows;
