- The Yankton Tappers fell to the Brookings Cubs 13-6 in the opening round of the Class A State Amateur Baseball Tournament last night in Aberdeen.
- Then there were four. The American Legion Central Plains Regional has four teams remaining in the double elimination tournament at Fitzgerald Stadium in Rapid City. Today’s matchups will set the table for an exciting championship Sunday.

- The public is invited to the annual Bucks and Gazelles Red vs Black Games today at Crane-Youngworth Field. The 6pm game features a new look Gazelles soccer squad. The 8pm game features the Bucks soccer squad coming off their 2021 State Championship. Fans are asked to donate 6-packs of sports drinks which will be used throughout the season to rehydrate athletes following games.
