  • Gazelles Tennis took fifth in the ESD Conference Tennis Meet yesterday with a 164 score, while Watertown secured the conference title with a 282 mark.

Sabrina Krajewski (Kraskie) secured the Flight 2 Singles Title. Gazelles Tennis now turns their attention towards the State Tournament October 6th and 7th in Rapid City’s Sioux Park.

  • Yankton Soccer split a varsity double-header at Crane-Youngworth Field last night, with the Gazelles falling 5-2, and the Bucks winning 5-0 in both teams’ regular season finales. The (2-11-1) Gazelles and the (7-4-3) Bucks now must await their playoff fates as the rest of the class concludes their regular season schedules. Currently, the Gazelles are 15th in Class AA, and the Bucks are 9th. The first round of the playoffs begin October 4th.
  • The Yankton Gazelles fell to Sioux Falls Jefferson in three straight sets (25-16, 27-25, 25-19) last night at the Summit Activities Center. Camille McDermott finished with 25 assists and Macy Drotzmann recorded 10 kills for the Gazelles. The Gazelles, now 2-11, head to (7-10) Class A Vermillion tomorrow evening.
  • Yankton Cross Country competes at the South Sioux City Invitational tomorrow at the Jeffrey C Dible Soccer Complex. Competition is set to begin at 4pm.
