- The 2022 Class AA Girls Tennis State Tournament begins today at Sioux Park in Rapid City. The Gazelles enter the tournament having finished fifth in the ESD Conference Tournament last week. First serves begin at 8am MT. The tournament runs through tomorrow.
- The Yankton Gazelles host Brandon Valley tonight at the Summit Activities Center for an ESD Conference Varsity Volleyball clash. You can catch the action on KYNT and KYNTV with Bryce Ladwig. Pregame coverage begins at 630pm, first serve 7pm.
- The (4-2) Yankton Bucks won’t be playing under the lights at Crane-Youngworth Field, but instead will be playing Saturday evening at Howard Wood Field, as they face off against Class 11AAA (1-5) Sioux Falls Roosevelt. You can catch the action live on KYNT and KYNTV with Bryce Ladwig and Josh Boelter. Pregame coverage begins at 5pm, kickoff at 6pm.
- Yankton Competitive Dance & Cheer competes at the Mitchell Corn Palace Saturday morning as part of the Mitchell Kernel Invitational. The competition is scheduled to begin at 10am.
- Yankton Cross Country competes in the ESD Conference Meet at Brookings Edgebrook Golf Course late Saturday morning and will join the eight other conference teams. Competition begins with the Girls 5000 Meter run at 11am, then the Boys 5000 Meter Run at 1130am.
- The (1-3) USD Coyotes Football program ramps up for the “South Dakota Showdown” versus the (4-1) South Dakota State Jackrabbits in Brookings on Saturday. The Yotes have won the last two matchups, both at the DakotaDome.
