The Bob Tereshinski Stadium at Riverside Park is getting some upgrades thanks to the usual trio of the City of Yankton, Yankton Baseball Association, and Mount Marty University.

These safety projects will make the play safer by improving the warning track, interior fencing and the dugouts, which should even improve insurance rates.
These projects will also benefit the Yankton community when the State Legion Baseball Tournament is hosted here for the first time since 2011.

The Yankton City Commission voted 7-1 to help by paying 50 percent of the current project, or $87,000.
