The Yankton Bucks and Gazelles basketball squads return to the court tonight as they both will take on the Sioux Falls Jefferson Cavaliers. The Gazelles will host Jefferson at 7:00PM tonight inside the Summit Activities Center, while the Bucks will travel to Sioux Falls to take on the Cavaliers who are undefeated, and ranked #1 in Class AA.

The Mount Marty Lancers men’s and women’s basketball teams are scheduled to make the trip to Fremont, Nebraska tomorrow night to take on Midland in a GPAC doubleheader. The (5-14) Mount Marty women will battle a (3-14) Midland squad, while the (8-12) Lancer men will take on the (7-12) Warriors.
Coverage for these games can be found on KYNT, with pre-game scheduled for 5:30PM, as the women are scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 with the men to follow. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.
More good news for the Mount Marty Lancers indoor track and field squads after their meet last Saturday, as it has been announced that 48 season bests were achieved across the events, as well as that there were 3 new school records set for the Lancers.
Mason Schleis set the school record in the pole vault at 4.40 meters, Calli Davis set the new fastest mark in the 200 meter dash at 26.03 seconds, and Jonathan Fuselier put his name in the MMU record books for completing the 60 meter hurdles in 8.32 seconds.
The Lancers currently have 36 performances ranked in the top 10 for their event in the GPAC, and 10 performances ranked in the top 20 across the NAIA.
The Lancers next opportunity to raise the bar will be on Friday as they travel to Brookings for the SDSU D2 Open, beginning at 1:30 PM.
The Yankton Gazelles gymnastics squad are back in business tonight as they travel to Vermillion to square off with the Tanagers. The duel will take place at Vermillion high school, with the events set to begin at 5:30 PM.
