The name of the person killed in a car-semi accident near Double T Truck Stop on Highway 81 North of Yankton Thursday has been released.
Captain Greg Jensen, with the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, says that a 2014 Ford Escape was traveling southbound and struck the rear end of a semi-truck that was in the process of turning westbound off of Highway 81.
The driver of the Escape, Teresa Brandt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is being investigated by the SD Highway Patrol.
