Two separate cases are scheduled to appear in court in Vermillion Thursday.
The first involves a stabbing that resulted in one fatality in Vermillion in July.
Chezayia Liggins, 20, faces charges of 2nd degree murder, and two counts of 1st degree manslaughter in relation to the death of Christopher Bartling, 47.
The second case involves an alleged rape that occurred on the University of South Dakota campus in September.
Gavin Jensen, 19, who was a student at USD, is facing Second and Fourth-degree rape charges.
Jensen pled not guilty to all charges in November.
Both Liggins and Jensen are set to appear at the Clay County Courthouse at 9 a.m. Thursday
