Mount Marty Men’s Basketball fell to 5 and 10 on the year last night with a 92 to 65 road loss to Midland University.

Jared Lopez scored a game-high 28 points for the Lancers, adding 5 rebounds and a pair of assists as well. Cole Bowen was the only other Lancer to crack double digits with 12 points.

The Lancers return home on Saturday, as they take on Dakota Wesleyan inside Cimpl Arena in a men’s and women’s doubleheader.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball is now 5 and 11 on the year, following last night’s 60 to 54 loss to Midland.

The Lancers had three players score double figures, led by Jadyn Jensen with 12. She was followed by Kyra Griese and Kaela Martinez with 10 apiece.

The Lancers are back at home on Saturday, as they host Dakota Wesleyan inside Cimpl Arena in a men’s and women’s doubleheader.

Yankton Bucks Basketball is on the road tomorrow night, as they make the trip to Sioux Falls for a game against the Roosevelt Roughriders.

Yankton is 1 and 7 on the year, following their 63-60 overtime loss to Jefferson on Tuesday. Roosevelt enters with a 6 and 2 overall record, having won their last 4 games in a row.

Tipoff from Roosevelt High School is set for 7:00 PM, with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 6:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.

Yankton Gazelles Basketball returns home for the first time since December 8th tomorrow night, as they host the Sioux Falls Roosevelt Roughriders inside the Summit Activities Center.

Yankton is 2 and 6 on the year coming off of a loss to Sioux Falls Jefferson on Tuesday, while Roosevelt is also 2 and 6 following a loss to Harrisburg.

Yankton Gymnastics was scheduled to compete in a quadrangular in Hendricks, Minnesota this evening, but the Gazelles will no longer make the trip due to winter weather in the area. The next competition for Yankton is scheduled for tomorrow night in Huron, beginning at 5:30 PM.

Following a week of severe winter weather throughout the area that caused multiple schools to postpone events, many have now been rescheduled.

  • The Creighton at Wynot basketball doubleheader that was postponed on Tuesday has been rescheduled for this Saturday.
  • The Wynot at Niobrara-Verdigre doubleheader that was originally scheduled for last week has been rescheduled for January 22nd.
  • The Wynot at Cedar Catholic basketball doubleheader that has been postponed twice already is now scheduled for January 26th.
  • The Centerville at Scotland boys basketball game scheduled for last week has been postponed to January 26th.
  • The Gayville-Volin at Burke basketball doubleheader scheduled for last week has been split into separate games for the boys and girls. The boys will play on February 9th while the girls will play on January 29th.
  • The Irene-Wakonda at Centerville basketball doubleheader that was postponed last week was rescheduled to February 5th.
  • The Cedar Catholic at Pierce doubleheader scheduled for last week has been postponed to February 9th.
  • The Bloomfield at Elkhorn Valley basketball doubleheader that was scheduled for January 13th has now been canceled and will not be made up.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball will host St. Thomas for a Summit League matchup inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center tonight. Tipoff from Vermillion is set for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball is on the road this evening, taking on St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Tipoff between the Coyotes and Tommies is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball will host the Omaha Mavericks tonight inside Frost Arena in Brookings. Tipoff between the Mavs and Jackrabbits is slated for 7:00 PM.
