Yankton Bucks offensive tackle Cayden Wavrunek has decided to head southeast for the next step of his athletic and academic career, as he has signed with Briar Cliff University in Sioux City.
Wavrunek spoke about how the players and coaches he met during his visits to Briar Cliff made the program feel like a family, and how that influenced his decision.
Wavrunek also spoke highly of his coaches at Yankton High School and the Bucks football program. Explaining how they helped him get to the level he’s at today.
Yankton Bucks Head Football Coach Brady Muth praised Wavrunek for the skills he brings to the table, especially his mixture of intelligence and physicality.
Wavrunek is now the third member of last year’s Bucks football team to announce that they are continuing their careers at the collegiate level. Wavrunek plans to study business and mathematics during his time in Sioux City.
