Yankton High School Senior Track and Field Athlete Jenilea Olivier officially signed with Mount Marty University on Wednesday to continue her academic and athletic careers in Yankton.
Olivier, a thrower at YHS, says that staying close to home was a major factor in her decision to sign with MMU.
Oliveir’s best performance last season came in the ESD Conference Meet, where she set a new personal record in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet, 5 inches.
Olivier also thanked her coaches at Yankton High School for helping her prepare for the next level.
Olivier plans to study radiology at Mount Marty. Her senior season officially begins with Yankton’s first meet on March 18th.
