Alias Reed, 25, who faces charges in a double homicide that occurred in Bloomfield last month has requested a preliminary hearing.
Reed, who made his first appearance in court Thursday, faces two charges of first-degree murder in the double homicide of Curtis Strom, 77, and William Reffett, 49.
Reed’s girlfriend, Kaylyne Sweazy, 27, also appeared in court Thursday and waived her right to a preliminary hearing.
Sweazy has been charged with tampering with evidence.
Her case will now move to District Court.
Sweazy is next scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on March 26th, while Reed is set to appear for his preliminary hearing on March 20th at 1:30 p.m. at the Knox County Courthouse.
