Yankton County Commission Chairman John Marquardt has announced that he will be running for Legislature to represent District 18 in the State House of Representatives.
Marquardt says that he is excited to bring his experience on the commission to the House, and wants to fight for District 18 in areas such as, taxes, public safety, education, and agriculture.
Marquardt is the second candidate to announce their intent to run for District 18 Representative, along with incumbent Mike Stevens.
The Republican primary election is June 4th, while the general election is set for November 4th.
