Mount Marty Baseball begins GPAC play today, as they host Northwestern for a doubleheader at Riverside Field.
The Lancers are coming off three straight losses to end their Spring Break trip, two of which came to teams ranked in the top 10, including #1 Southeastern.
Game one between the Lances and Red Raiders is set for 2:00 PM with game two to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 1:30. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.
Seven members of the Yankton Gazelles Volleyball team have been selected at Academic All-State honorees.
Ava Koller, Brynn Kenney, Camille McDermott, Camryn Koletzky, Chayce Drotzmann, Macy Drotzmann, and Payton Moser were all selected for the award.
To be selected as Academic All-State, an athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must have participated in the sport for at least three seasons.
South Dakota State Men’s and Women’s Basketball await their official seeding in the NCAA tournament, following their Summit League Championship seasons.
The SDSU women completed their second straight undefeated season in Summit League play at 16 and 0, while the men finished with a 12 and 4 conference record, winning their last 8 straight games.
Both teams will find out their seeding this weekend, during Selection Sunday for the NCAA Tournaments.
The South Dakota High School Boys Basketball State Tournament began yesterday across Classes AA, A, and B. The results for round one and scheduled for today’s 2nd round are listed below.
