A detour will be put in place early next week in Yankton due to construction on the railway crossing on Broadway.
Yankton Area Engineer for the South Dakota DOT Greg Rothschadl says that the construction is routine for the railroad, but will lead to the road being blocked for a few days.
Rothschadl explains the planned detours and asks motorists who travel on Broadway to please be patient while they are in place.
Rothschadl says the road closures and construction will begin early on Monday, April 15th, and will take 2 to 4 days to complete.
