The City of Yankton and the Meridian Bridge Centennial Group have announced two sponsorships with First Dakota National Bank and Avera for some of the major events coming up this year to celebrate the Meridian Bridge’s 100th birthday.
First Dakota National Bank has donated $15,000, which will go towards community block party events on July 5th and October 12th.
First Dakota National Bank CEO Rob Stephenson says that First Dakota is pleased to be part of the centennial celebration.
Avera has also made a donation, donating $10,000, which will go towards the “Centennial Night” event on August 8th.
Avera Sacred Heart Regional President and CEO Doug Ekeren says that the Meridian Bridge is synonymous with Yankton.
Country artist Logan Mize will be the headline act at the July 5th event, while Kory and the Fireflies will headline the “Centennial Night”.
