Jason Jones, who is facing charges in a quadruple homicide in Laurel, NE in August of 2022 has had his trial moved from Cedar County to Dakota County.
Judge Bryan Meismer made the decision Monday, stating that a larger jury pool on top of evidence of media coverage presented Jones’s attorney, Todd Lancaster, as reasoning for the change in venue.
Jones faces four counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree arson charges, and four counts of the use of a firearm to commit a felony.
The trial is set to begin September 9th.
