Five Yankton High School Seniors signed with universities Wednesday to pursue careers in education.
- Jett Lotz – Mount Marty University (History Education)
- Mikayla Humpal – Mount Marty University (Education)
- Eva Reyes – University of South Dakota (Music Education)
- Tori Becker – Wayne State or USD (Education)
- Dylan McCoy – University of Nebraska at Kearney (History Education)
All five students are members of the Yankton Chapter of the group Educators Rising.
The Yankton Chapter is advised by Kaiti Ladwig and Nicole Valnes.
Valnes says that this is the first year of the Yankton Chapter.
Both Valnes and Ladwig expressed that they’re excited for the future of the Educators Rising program in Yankton.
