Yankton County Commission to Meet Wednesday Morning to Discuss Flooding in the County

The Yankton County Commission will hold a special meeting on Wednesday to make a Declaration for Flooding Disaster.

Yankton County Commission Chair John Marquardt says that the meeting is required to receive federal dollars from FEMA to help with damages from flooding.

Marquardt says that the county needs to reach $107,000 in flood damages to receive money from FEMA, an amount that Marquardt says that he believes the county will reach.

The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the Yankton County Government Center.
