8th St. and Burleigh St. will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday.
According to the city, contractors will be installing underground utilities in the intersection as part of a reconstruction project on 8th St.
Detours will be set up to direct traffic around the area, and the city is asking motorists to find an alternate route to avoid traffic congestion.
The closure is anticipated to be in place for a week.
