Sarah Carda announced earlier this week that she will be running as the Democratic candidate for State Senator in District 18.
Carda says that she is choosing to run because she feels that she can step up to the challenge of representing District 18 in Pierre.
Carda says that former legislators Bernie Hunhoff and Ryan Cwach will be taking leading roles in her campaign.
Carda will be campaigning against Republican candidate Lauren Nelson.
