Avera Sacred Heart Hospital has been named a 5-star facility by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Avera Sacred Heart Regional President and CEO Doug Ekeren says that earning a 5-star accommodation was a team effort.
Ekeren says that over 2,800 hospitals were reviewed by CMS, with Avera Sacred Heart being one of 381 to earn a 5-star rating.
Avera Sacred Heart has become the fourth Avera site to receive a 5-star rating.
Sacred Heart joins Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen, Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, and Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall, Minnesota as 5-star facilities.
