Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Soccer returns home today for a doubleheader with Sioux Falls Jefferson at Crane-Youngworth Field.
The Bucks are 1, 2, and 1 on the year while the Gazelles are 2 and 2. Both teams are coming off of 1-0 losses to Harrisburg last week.
The Bucks will play first at 4:00 PM this afternoon with the Gazelles to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 3:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.
Mount Marty’s Ted Bengston has a share of the lead at the MMU Men’s Golf Invite, shooting a 3-under 69 in round one.
As a team Mount Marty is 6th in the tournament at 301. For the Lancers, Wout Kerkoffs shot 1-over 73, Bennett Cassens shot 78, and Hunter Bose and Hunter Bailey each finished at 81.
Today’s final round of the MMU Invite will be held at Fox Run Golf Course.
Yankton Gazelles volleyball will play their first match of the 2024 season tonight, as they are on the road against O’Gorman.
The Gazelles are entering their 2nd year under head coach Tayler Stacey. Yankton finished 12 and 15 last year and graduated eight seniors from the squad. O’Gorman enters the match as the #2 team in the Class AA Preseason Media Poll.
First serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM this evening.
Yankton Bucks Golf is in the state capital today for the Pierre Invitational at Hillview Golf Course.
Tee time is scheduled for 10:00 AM this morning.
The Avon Pirates are 1st in both the media and coaches polls for Class 9-B Football following the opening week of their season.
The Pirates defeated Colman-Egan last Friday night 60-38 to start the season 1 and 0.
