Yankton Bucks Football ends their regular season tomorrow night, as they host the Mitchell Kernels at Crane-Youngworth Field.

The Bucks are 6-2 on the year following their win over Tea last week and are the #1 team in Class 11-AA. Mitchell is currently on the outside looking in on the postseason with a 1-7 record.

Along with tomorrow’s game being the regular season finale, it will be senior night for the Bucks, there will be a celebration of former coach Max Hawk, and Class AA Tennis State Champions Nora and Sabrina Krajewski will be honored.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:00. Bryce Ladwig and Josh Boelter will be on the call.

Mount Marty Volleyball will be on the road in Seward, Nebraska tonight for a GPAC matchup with Concordia.

The Lancers enter the match at 12-11 on the year with a 4-8 record in GPAC play. Concordia defeated MMU earlier this season in Yankton, 3 sets to 1.

First serve is scheduled for 7:30 PM this evening.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Soccer will travel to Fremont, Nebraska today for a GPAC doubleheader against Midland. 

The women are scheduled to get started first at 5:00 PM with the men to follow at 7:30.

Mount Marty Cross Country has their last meet of the regular season tomorrow, as they host the MMU Invitational.

Tomorrow’s race will be the last for MMU before the GPAC Championships on November 9th. Races will be held at Fox Run Golf Course beginning at 4:00 PM.

Longtime NCAA basketball official Kelly Pfeifer will be the featured guest speaker at today’s meeting of the Yankton Quarterback Club.

Pfeifer is a native of Phillip, SD, and has officiated Division II men’s basketball for several years, including NCAA Tournament games in recent years.

The meeting will be held at noon today at the River Rock Event Center in Yankton. A paid meal will be served beginning at 11:15. The public is invited to attend.

The Crofton Warriors open up the Class C2 Football Playoffs tomorrow night, as they host the Bloomfield Bees.

The Warriors are the #2 seed in Class C2 East, tallying a 7-1 record in the regular season. Bloomfield enters as the #15 seed.

The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats begin postseason play tomorrow night, taking on Exeter-Milligan/Friend in the opening round of the Class C2 Football Playoffs.

The Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats are the #5 seed in Class D1 East after ending the regular season 7-1.
