With whooping cough on the rise in South Dakota School Districts, Yankton School District Superintendent, Dr. Wayne Kindle, says that they’ve had two confirmed cases in the school district.
Kindle says that the South Dakota Department of Health has been in constant communication with school districts across the state.
Kindle says that just like with any illness, students should stay home if they contract whooping cough.
Kindle says that those with questions on whopping cough, should contact their health provider or call the South Dakota Department of Health at (605)-773-3361.
