Mount Marty Cross Country runners Logan Ferrari and Joseph Cross have qualified for the NAIA National Meet on November 22nd.

Ferrari and Cross are the first Lancers to qualify for the National Championship since Brian Santiago in 2020-21. It’s also the first year since 2012 that MMU will have two runners in the National Meet.

The NAIA Cross Country National Championships will be held on November 22nd in Columbia, Missouri.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball is on the road tomorrow night in Lincoln, Nebraska to take on Nebraska Wesleyan.

The Lancers are 5-0 on the year, winning back-to-back games over the weekend against Barclay College and Central Christian College.

The Lancers are outscoring their opponents by an average of 32.6 points per game this season, and are one win away from matching their win total from last year.

Tip-off from Lincoln, Nebraska is scheduled for 6:00 PM tomorrow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV, audio only, begins at 5:30. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

The Yankton Lewis and Clark indoor tennis tournament was held this past weekend at the NFAA Easton Archery Center, and Yankton native Nora Krajewski claimed the top spot in the 18-under women’s division.

In total, 60 athletes from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota competed in the event. The 18-under men’s division was won by Barrett Warner of Lincoln, Nebraska.

South Dakota Coyotes Defensive Lineman Mi’Quise Grace has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week, following USD’s 49-0 shutout over Indiana State on Saturday.

Grace recorded 5 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and forced a fumble for a Coyote defense that allowed only 129 yards of offense to the Sycamores.

Grace is currently 2nd in the MVFC in tackles for loss with 12 and sacks with 6.5. USD is back in action on Saturday in a road matchup with the North Dakota Fightin’ Hawks.

South Dakota State Kicker/Punter Hunter Dustman has been selected as the MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week following SDSU’s 38-7 win over UND.

Dustman notched a 32-yard field goal, went 5 for 5 on extra points, and pinned UND inside their own 20 twice on punts.

SDSU returns home on Saturday to host Southern Illinois for Senior Day.

South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball is on the road tonight in Iowa City to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

USD is 3-0 on the year after defeating Mount Marty on Sunday 77-47. This will be the first road test of the season for the Coyotes.

Tip-off from Iowa City is scheduled for 8:00 PM tonight.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball returns to the hardwood tomorrow night, hosting LMU inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

USD is still looking for their first win of the season following their 73-66 loss to Air Force in their last game.

Tip-off from Vermillion is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball is 2-0 following their win over #21 Creighton last week. They’re back in action tomorrow night, hosting Wisconsin.

Tomorrow’s game is the middle of a three-game home stand for the Jackrabbit women, which ends on Saturday against #11 Duke.

Tip-off between SDSU and Wisconsin from First Bank & Trust Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night.

Dakota Wesleyan Head Football Coach Alex Kretzschmar will be the featured guest speaker at tomorrow’s Yankton Quarterback Club meeting.

Kretzchmar is in his first season at the helm of the Tigers program. DWU is currently 4-6 on the season.

The meeting will be held at noon at the River Rock Event Center in Yankton. A paid meal will be served at 11:15. The public is invited to attend.

SoDak 16 matches for Class A and B Volleyball are scheduled to take place today, with the winners advancing to the State Tournament.

Locally, Gayville-Volin is the #6 seed and the top qualifier from Region 4B with a 28-4 overall record. They will face #11 Wolsey Wessington tonight at 7:00 PM.
