Mount Marty Women’s Basketball is on the road tonight to take on Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln.

The Lancers are 5-0 to start the season, coming off a 69-55 win over Central Christian College in their last game. Tonight’s game will be the season opener for Nebraska Wesleyan.

Tip-off from Snyder Arena in Lincoln is scheduled for 6:00 PM. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV, audio only, begins at 5:30. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Gayville-Volin Volleyball advanced to the Class B State Tournament yesterday after defeating Wolsey-Wessington in the SoDak 16.

The Raiders won 3 sets to 2 over Wolsey-Wessington, with the 5th set going to extra points, ending 21-19.

The Class B Volleyball State Tournament will be held November 21st through the 23rd in Sioux Falls. The Raiders will be the #6 seed, taking on #3 Hitchcock-Tulare in round one.

Dakota Wesleyan Head Football Coach Alex Kretzschmar will be the featured guest speaker at today’s Yankton Quarterback Club meeting.

Kretzchmar is in his first season at the helm of the Tigers program. DWU is currently 4-6 on the season.

The meeting will be held at noon at the River Rock Event Center in Yankton. A paid meal will be served at 11:15. The public is invited to attend.

The South Dakota High School Football State Championships begin tomorrow in Vermillion. 

Class 9B and 9AA will crown champions tomorrow, 9A, 11B, and 11AA will host their title games on Friday, and 11A and 11AAA will play on Saturday. Full schedule is listed below. All games are held at the DakotaDome.

South Dakota Coyotes Men’s Basketball suffered their first loss of the season last night, as they fell to Iowa 96-77 in Iowa City.

Kaleb Stewart led the Coyotes with 26 points on the night, adding 2 steals and 2 assists as well. Isaac Bruns was the only other Coyote in double figures with 11 points.

USD is back in action tomorrow, hosting Dakota Wesleyan in Vermillion.
