The Thanksgiving holiday is Thursday, and AAA South Dakota has released its travel projections for the holiday weekend.
Shawn Steward, with AAA South Dakota, says that AAA is projecting South Dakota travel to be up two percent from last year.
Steward says that gas prices are down this year compared to last year, with South Dakota averaging $2.86 per gallon.
AAA is projecting that nearly 80 million Americans will travel for Thanksgiving.
