Longtime Avera Sacred Heart Regional President and CEO Doug Ekeren has announced on Tuesday that he will be retiring in May of next year.
Ekeren says that after a 40-year career, including 32 years with Avera Sacred Heart, it’s the right time for him to retire.
Ekeren says that the things he’s most proud of during his career is the day-to-day care that Avera has been able to provide for patients.
Avera will conduct a national search to fill the Regional President and CEO position.
