Yankton Gazelles Basketball has their home opener tonight, as they host Huron inside the Summit Activities Center.
Yankton is 0-1 on the year following their 50-43 loss to Sioux Falls Lincoln last Friday night. Tonight’s game will be the first of the season for Huron.

Mount Marty University has announced the hiring of Randy Davis as the new head coach of the men’s and women’s tennis programs.
Davis has previously served as the head boys and girls tennis coach at Brownell-Talbot School in Omaha, Nebraska, where he coached four individual state champions and led the school to a team title in 2018.
Davis has also been recognized as the number one tennis coach in Nebraska during his tenure as a private tennis coach with Coach Up Tennis, earning consistent five-star reviews for his focus on player development and personalized instruction.
Davis will work alongside MMU’s volunteer assistant coach Vanessa Rockne. MMU Tennis begins 2025 play on January 31st.
Mount Marty Women’s Soccer Coach Cynthia Chavez has stepped down from her role, the university announced Tuesday morning.
Chavez has been with the program since 2021, leading the Lancers to their most wins in a single season this past fall.
The university announced that they will begin a national search for the next head women’s soccer coach.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling will be in Sioux Falls tonight for a quadrangular at Lincoln High School.
Yankton will compete against the hosts Sioux Falls Lincoln, Sioux Falls Washington, and Lennox during the meet.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM.
South Dakota Men’s Basketball returns to the hardwood tonight to host Wyoming inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
USD is 7-4 on the season, 6-0 at home, following their road loss to Northern Arizona on Saturday, 95-82.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball is on the road tomorrow night in Reno, Nevada to take on the University of Nevada Wolf Pack.
