A man has been arrested and charged with murder in a death that occurred in Yankton.
Yankton Police Chief, Jason Foote, says that authorities were dispatched to the 1000 block of Walnut Street Friday morning for a welfare check.
Foote says that upon arrival, an officer found an unresponsive individual and began to attempt life saving measures but were unable to revive the individual.
Foote says that they have arrested and charged with Theodore E Kranig Jr. with Second Degree Murder and First Degree Manslaughter.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of family.
Foote says that the case remains under investigation.
