Mount Marty Men’s Basketball fell to Morningside on Saturday afternoon, 91-63 in Sioux City, Iowa.

Tash Lunday led the Lancers with a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double. Brandon Garcia led the Lancers in assists with 8 and steals with 2.

The Lancer Men are back in action on Friday, as they host Valley City State inside Cimpl Arena at 1:00 PM.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball was defeated by Morningside on Saturday, 72-50.

Emma Jarovski led Mount Marty in scoring with 15 points and rebounds with 7. Kaela Martinex recorded 7 rebounds as well, along with 7 assists.

The Lancer Women are on the road for their next game on Wednesday, taking on the South Dakota Coyotes in Vermillion.

Yankton Bucks Hockey picked up a 5-4 overtime victory on Saturday over Huron to improve to 6-2 on the year.

Rylan Murphy grabbed the winning goal for the Bucks, scoring with just over 5 minutes to play in overtime.

Tucker Renken and Connor Perakslis rounded out the scoring for the Bucks, with each scoring a pair of goal.

Bucks Hockey will be on the road for their next game, taking on the Watertown Lakers on December 21st.

Yankton Bucks Basketball starts their 2024-25 season tomorrow night with a road matchup against Sioux Falls Washington.

Yankton was originally scheduled to open their season last Friday against Harrisburg, but that game was postponed due to weather.

Tip-off from Sioux Falls Washington High School is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.

Yankton Gazelles Basketball looks to pick up their first win of the season tomorrow night, as they host Sioux Falls Washington inside the Summit Activities Center.

The Gazelles are 0-2 to start the season following a loss last week to Huron. Yankton hasn’t played since last Tuesday following the postponement of their game against Harrisburg on Friday.

Tip-off from Yankton High School is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night. Pregame coverage on KYNTV begins at 6:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Yankton Bucks Wrestlingtallied 32.5 points at this past weekend’s Rapid City Wrestling Invitational.

Sturgis claimed the team title with 235 points. 2nd place Bismarck, North Dakota finished at 169. At the JV level, Yankton’s Zane Portillo claimed the 144-pound championship.

Bucks Wrestling is off until next Saturday when they travel to Sioux Falls Washington for an invitational.

Yankton Gazelles Wrestling took home 24th out of 50 teams at the Rapid City Wrestling Invite over the weekend, scoring 41 points.

Chloe Caton was the lone place winner for the Gazelles, finishing 8th at 107 pounds.

Gazelles Wrestling is off until next Saturday when they travel to Sioux Falls Washington for an invitational.

The South Dakota Coyotes advanced to the FCS Playoff Semifinals on Saturday with a 35-21 win over UC Davis.

Quarterback Aidan Bouman threw for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns. With the win, USD advances to their first-ever FCS Semifinal and will end the year undefeated inside the DakotaDome at 8-0.

The Coyotes will be on the road in Bozeman, Montana next Saturday to take on the #1 seeded Montana State. The winner advances to the FCS National Championship in Frisco, Texas. 

South Dakota State Football punched their ticket to the FCS Playoff Semifinals on Saturday with a 55-14 win over Incarnate Word.

Quarterback Mark Gronowski threw for 3 touchdowns in the win, 2 to Griffin Wilde and one to David Alpers.

SDSU will be on the road in Fargo next week to take on North Dakota State. The winner advances to the FCS National Championship in Frisco, Texas.  

South Dakota Men’s Basketball improved to 9-4 on Saturday with an 89-66 win over Western Illinois.

Chase Forte led the Coyotes with 21 points. Cameron Fens, 17, and Isaac Bruns, 13, also scored in double figures.

USD is on the road on Thursday, taking on Utah Tech in St, George, Utah.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball fell to Wyoming on Sunday, 79-45 inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

Grace Larkins led USD with a 12-point 12-rebound double-double. Larkins also led the Coyotes in assists with 3.

USD is at home again on Wednesday to host the Mount Marty Lancers.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball fell to 8-5 last Friday night with an 81-70 loss to Colorado.

Joe Sayler led the Jackrabbits in scoring with 16 points, followed closely by Kalen Garry with 12.

SDSU is back home on Thursday to host Chadron State.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball is 9-2 on the year following their 68-53 road victory over Northern Iowa on Saturday.

Brooklyn Meyer led SDSU with 18 points in the win. Paige Meyer, 12 points, Katie Vasecka, 10 points, and Haleigh Timmer, 10 points, all scored in double figures.

SDSU is back home tomorrow night to host Dakota State, Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
