Mount Marty Men’s Basketball fell to the Briar Cliff Chargers last night, 83-75 in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Lancers had four players score in double figures, led by 19 apiece from Tash Lunday and Brandon Garcia. Mac Ryken and Angok Akot each added 10.

The Lancers are back in action tomorrow for a men’s and women’s doubleheader against Waldorf.

Mount Marty Women’s Basketball was defeated by Briar Cliff in their first game of 2025 last night, 90-58 in Sioux City.

The Lancers were led in scoring by Kaela Martinez with 11 points, followed by Emma Jarovski with 10. Sidney Thue finished just shy of a double-double with 8 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lancers are back in action tomorrow for a men’s and women’s doubleheader against Waldorf. The women play first at 2:00 PM with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 1:15. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Basketball return home tonight to host Brookings in an ESD doubleheader.

The Bucks are 0-3 on the year following their 48-40 loss to Harrisburg on Tuesday. The Gazelles are 0-4 coming off their loss to Harrisburg as well, 49-39.

The Gazelles will play first at 6:00 PM this evening with the Bucks to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:30. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.

Yankton Bucks Wrestling split their triangular last night, defeating Roosevelt 74-6 before falling to Brookings 42-40.

Joelton Reimnitz-Hahn, Bode Thurman, and Damian Janish went undefeated over the two duals, with all wins via pin or tech fall.

Next up for Yankton is a triangular in Mitchell against the Kernels and Harrisburg on January 9th.

Yankton Gazelles Wrestling swept their triangular last night, defeating Roosevelt 48-6, and Brookings 24-18.

Against Roosevelt, Yankton’s Alexis Branden secured a pin in under a minute in the lone match of the dual.

Next up for Yankton is a triangular in Mitchell against the Kernels and Harrisburg on January 9th.

Crofton Warriors Boys and Girls Basketball are set to host O’Neill today in a doubleheader.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball fell to Kansas City in last night’s Summit League opener, 68-54.

Chase Forte led USD in scoring with 12 points in the loss, adding 4 assists, and 3 rebounds.

USD returns home tomorrow to host the Denver Pioneers inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM tomorrow night.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball picked up a 77-71 road win over Denver last night to open conference play.

Grace Larkins led USD with a 29-point, 13-rebound double-double. Alexi Hempe followed Larkins with 26 points in the win.

USD travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma tomorrow to take on Oral Roberts. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball 1-0 to start Summit League play following last night’s 91-70 victory over Denver.

Oscar Cluff led SDSU with a 30-point, 19-rebound double-double. Owen Larson followed with 12 points, while Matthew Mors and Stoney Hadnot recorded 11.

SDSU is on the road for their next game, taking on St. Thomas on Wednesday, January 8th.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball opened Summit League play last night with an 81-76 road win over Oral Roberts.

Freshman Katie Vasecka led SDSU with a career-high 21 points. Paige Meyer followed with 18 points in the win.

SDSU is back on the road tomorrow to take on the Denver Pioneers. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM central.
