April 8th will be the date for this year’s City and School Board election if one is necessary.
Yankton City Manager, Amy Leon, says that holding a joint election will help save taxpayer dollars.
Petitions to run for city commission will be available January 31st and are due by February 28th.
Of the three commissioners up for reelection, Amy Miner and Jerry Weber have announced that they will not seek another term.
Yankton Mayor Mason Schramm has not decided if he will run again.
