Mount Marty Baseball has had their four-game series with Dordt adjusted due to forecasted weather this weekend.
Saturday’s doubleheader in Yankton will now be played tomorrow at Riverside Field. Friday’s doubleheader in Sioux Center will proceed as scheduled.
First pitch of game one is set for 3:00 PM tomorrow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 2:30. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.
Mount Marty Catcher Shugo Kondo has been named the GPAC Baseball Player of the Week for week 7.
Kondo hit .833 over the weekend, driving in five runs and scoring twice. Kondo also hit a two-run home run against Waldorf.
Kondo’s selection marks back-to-back weeks a Mount Marty athlete has earned a GPAC weekly honor after Slayder Watterson was last week’s Pitcher of the Week.

Mount Marty Softball picked up their first GPAC wins of the season yesterday, sweeping Briar Cliff in a doubleheader.
The Lancers took game one 10-5. Janeah Castro and Kayleen Jacinto both finished with 2 hits and 3 RBI. McKenzie Gray pitched the complete game for the win on the mound, striking out 6 batters.
Game two ended 10-7 for MMU. Alyssa Sosky finished 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored, while Abby Johnson went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI of her own.
The Lancers return home on Saturday to host Dordt for a doubleheader at Sertoma Park.
Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Tennis travel to Hastings, Nebraska today to take on Hastings.
The Lancer Men and Women are both coming off losses to Concordia this past weekend. The MMU men are 4-5 on the year, while the women are 3-6.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM this afternoon.
The Dordt Defenders are back-to-back NAIA Women’s Basketball National Champions following last night’s 82-73 victory over Indiana Wesleyan.
Macy Sievers recorded a triple-double to lead the Defenders, finishing with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Sievers was also named Tournament MVP.
The Championship marks the 16th women’s basketball championship for the Great Plains Athletic Conference since it was formed in the 2000-2001 school year.
