The Yankton Bucks crushed Rapid City Stevens 66-37 Saturday afternoon in the Black Hills. One day after breaking his own school single-game scoring record with 48 points against Spearfish, Yankton senior Matthew Mors led the attack with 20 points while sophomore Rugby Ryken paced the defense with seven steals and 11 rebounds. Second-ranked Yankton visits third-rated Brandon Valley Friday night in a battle of unbeaten teams.
The Yankton Gazelles dropped a 53-49 contest at Rapid City Stevens on Saturday. Junior Ellie Karolevitz led the Gazelles with 23 points and 6 rebounds, her third consecutive game of at least 20 points. The Yankton girls are 1-2 this season and play at Brandon Valley on Thursday night.
